It’s official. I have officially moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, part-time. That means I’ll spend a few months in Puerto Vallarta before returning home. It’s exciting! However, the pandemic is still going strong. Some of the venues I’m going to talk about below are closed due to covid. But that doesn’t mean we can’t put them on our list for later. Now that I’m here, I want to discover all the gayness that Puerto Vallarta has. So let’s put these gay clothing-optional events on our list because we need to live it up post-pandemic!
Get an updated list of all clothing-optional venues in the guide.
1) Amaria Villas Hotel
Amaria Villas is a new hacienda-style hotel located in the jungle about 15 minutes from Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romantica. It’s owned by a sexy gay throuple that enjoy male, nude companionship. In other words, this hotel is clothing-optional.
The best part of the hotel isn’t how cute it is or how secluded it feels. The best part is that they have day passes every day. Considering they just opened, their day passes are 200 Mexican Pesos. However, I heard it would go up to 300 once tourism is open again.
Nevertheless, come to their gay, male-only clothing-optional happy hours (from 11 am to 7 pm) or stay your entire vacation.
On Sundays, they plan their big party called Savage Sundays. You’ll find live DJs, happy hour cocktail prices, and plenty of food. Not to mention they have a masseur on-site to help put you in vacation mode. If that wasn’t enough, they also have a barber on-site that also manscapes. So get your haircut and shave your balls while you’re at it.
On Tuesdays, they have their men-only, clothing-optional days.
You know it’s a place we have to support ASAP! Let’s see how awesome their parties get! Shall we?

February 2023 Update: Now that I’m back in PV. I had to check out one of my favorite gay resorts. Well, it turns out they’re no longer a gay resort. They still offer day passes but nudity, well… that’s not a thing they’re going for anymore.
2) Casa Cúpula
Casa Cupula’s been around for a few years now. They’re located in the Romantic Zone, right on top of a hill overlooking the beautiful oceans and Puerto Vallarta skyline.
They have clothing-optional gay parties all weekend, every weekend. However, on special events, you have to make a reservation because it gets busy! It’s also 250 pesos at the front door.
Word around town is that their weekend parties are pretty lively, and on some days, it gets a little frisky (if you know what I mean.)
Come to Casa Cupula’s gay clothing-optional happy hour, check out the sexy go-go dancers, and enjoy the live DJs.
Casa Cupula’s daily happy hour is from noon to 7 pm. On weekends it’s 4 pm to 6 pm.
On Saturdays, they have their Naked Pool Party!

3) Piñata Hotel’s Clothing Optional Happy Hour
Piñata Hotel is an excellent clothing-optional boutique hotel that only allows gay men. Although they are currently closed to the public because of Covid, it is a place we definitely have to check out once they re-open.
Piñata Hotel encourages their patrons to use the pool or hot tub naked. Although, due to covid they’re not having their Saturday pool party but they are having a happy hour we all have to check out every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5 to 7 pm.
If that’s not sexy enough, Piñata Hotel has a Just For Fans page that is so hot thinking about it makes me wish they were open already.
This hotel is very well decorated and festive. It reminds me of the clothing-optional hotels in Palm Springs, California. I say this because it seems that even though they’re closed to the public during covid, they’re open to porn studios to use as a set (just like many Palm Springs gay hotels.)
Put this on your list to check out next time you’re in town.

4) Jets Clothing Optional Boat Tours
I recently discovered Jet’s Clothing Optional Boat Tours. They have several packages to choose from. It can be a private clothing-optional tour for you and your buddies. That also means your hetero mates and their girlfriends can come along. Or you can have an all-nude lesbian boat. Although it can be a little pricey depending on the tour you want.
Jet’s Boat Tours sounds amazing even if it wasn’t clothing optional. You are taken to the prettiest beaches around Puerto Vallarta and some beautiful islands.
However, if you’re interested in a gay, male-only, nude boat tour, make sure to book their Friday or Saturday tour. It’s also cheaper than other days because anyone can book as long as you’re a gay male.
For someone like me, who might be venturing on my own, having a group of guys I can be friends with is a plus. These cheaper male-only boat tours are BYOB. So come prepared to take it all off and share some drinks with your new naked gay buddies.

5) Spartacus Gay Bathhouse
Spartacus is a gay bathhouse. Therefore nudity is a given. What makes Spartacus different is the open-air rooftop deck. Come here and lay in the sun the way nature intended!
Spartacus has other amenities like private rooms, saunas, and lockers, but that’s for another blog post. In any case, if you’re just trying to get that perfect tan, come to their rooftop and enjoy some male companionship.

6) Naked Yoga in Puerto Vallarta
I’m not one for yoga. I like it, but it’s not a priority of mine. And although I’m a swimmer who showers with naked men in locker rooms, something about stretching and tumbling clumsily doesn’t appeal to me. That’s not to say I won’t try it, though.
Naked Yoga in Puerto Vallarta is currently not happening due to the pandemic. However, I found a yoga retreat for gay males scheduled as soon as May. It’s limited to 12 men.
Accordingly, they are only allowing fully vaccinated men (a negative Covid test is good too) with proof to register at this time.
Although this retreat is coming to Puerto Vallarta in May, word around town is that Puerto Vallarta has its own weekly, male-only naked yoga class. However, due to covid, it is not available at the moment.
Nevertheless, if you’re interested in the yoga retreat, head here for Brandon Anthony’s website.
Unfortunately, Brandon Anthony only had this PV Yoga excursion this one year. But in my gay Puerto Vallarta travel guide for 2024, I updated the list to include native PV tour groups that include naked yoga, naked photography, and all the naked fun you can think of. Get the guide for all the best and updated info here.
7) Rainbow Palma in Boca Tomatlan
Rainbow Palma is located about 25 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta in a place called Boca Tomatlan. This resort has stunning views and a clothing-optional deck for gay men.
However, due to covid, their clothing-optional deck is closed to the public, but they are available for large groups of 15 or more people. Make no mistake. Once covid is over, we are headed here to get rid of these tan lines!
Check out their Facebook page for more info.

A Few Sexy Bonus Events That You Might Want to Know About
These next venues are not clothing optional. They are sexy, fun and even though you might have to keep your clothes on, it might be worth checking out to see how decadent it all really is.
8) Mercurio Hotel Happy Hour
Sad news, guys. Mercurio Hotel unexpectedly closed permanently as of a couple of days ago.
Hotel Mercurio is a gay-only hotel in the heart of the Romantic Zone. They are within walking distance to everything. But every day from 3-8 pm, they have a good-sized happy hour for all hotel guests, friends, and the public.
Although it’s not clothing optional, people boast about how friendly everyone is here. So come sport that great speedo and make friends.
One of the great things about this happy hour is that there is no cover fee. Towel and wifi are included as well! Let’s go grab a drink and a taco at Mercurio Hotel.
Every Sunday, they have a fabulous pool-side drag brunch as well.
9) Wet Dreams strip club
Wet Dreams is a strip club. Even though gay, male-only strip clubs usually have good word of mouth, I haven’t heard anything (online or in-person) about this place. Other than their slogan “The original shower bar,” it’s got me wondering if this strip club has performers who shower on stage and strip.
In any case, a gay strip club is usually very fun. Although I have to say, Campus (a gay strip club in Montreal, Canada) ruined me for life. Campus has set the bar. So how about we check this out and see how it compares?
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Wet Dreams does not allow women in. It’s men only.
10) Anthropology strip club
The most popular strip club in Puerto Vallarta is Anthropology. The male dancers are great. You have the option for private dances, and I’ve also heard you can take them home for the right price (if you’re into that sort of thing.)
11) Pervert
Pervert is your quintessential strip club. Except, it’s a gay strip club for gay men. There’s a stage with a pole in the center where men dance the night away.
Although, I should mention they dont open until 10 pm but close at 2 am. Yeah, thats a small window of time.
12) Club 69
Club 69 is relatively new. It’s a giant club with performers dancing on stage. Some pole dance, others just dance.
Private dances are around 500 Mexican pesos per 10 minutes or so.
Club 69 doesn’t have an active website of FB page, but hopefully they will soon.
Let me break it down for you:
There you have it. Sexy, clothing-optional venues in Puerto Vallarta you can put on your list once covid is over! Puerto Vallarta has a whole lot of gay going on. So, let’s discover it all!
