The Smallest Club on the Planet is in Berlin: Teledisko

The Smallest Club on the Planet is a phone booth in Berlin called Teledisko.

Although this was on my list of places to find during my trip, I randomly stumbled upon it on my way out of a trendy sushi bar called Shibuya across the street from the East Side Gallery.

This cute coin-operated concept is basically a jukebox with modern music and some awesome lights.

But first, you need to find it.

Where is Teledisko in Berlin?

There are currently five Teledisko spots in Berlin. But two constantly move, so you might have trouble finding those.

1) The Pink Teledisko booth

The Pink Teledisko booth (the original) is near club Kater Blau. But this one is only available when the club is open. The address is: Holzmarktstr 25, 10243 Berlin.

2) The Gold Teledisko

The Gold Teledisko is in the RAW area. The address is: Revalerstr 99, 12045 Berlin.

You’ll find it behind the Emma Pea Restaurant opposite Kletterkegel, and it’s always available. No need for any clubs to open or close.

3) The Blue Teledisko

The Blue Teledisko is at Holzmarkt. The addrss is: Holzmarktstr 25, 10243 Berlin. But it’s only available from 6 AM to 10 PM.

4) The Black Teledisko booth

You’ll find the Black Teledisko at Club Sisyphos, but it’s only open when the club is open. This is not a permanent location, and they change it without notice. Find it quickly before it disappears.

The address is: Sisyphos , Hauptstr. 15, 10317 Berlin

5) The White Teledisko

The White Teledisko is the one I found. And I found it right outside of Shibuya, a cute Japanese sushi restaurant within the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

The address is Mercedes-Benz Platz 1, 10243 Berlin.

I got lucky. This is not a permanent location, and they change it without notice. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it. But it is open 24/7 if you manage to find it.

There’s also a green one that’s nowhere to be found at the moment. It’s probably just rented out. It seems you can rent the White, Green, and Black ones for parties and events. Then they’re placed in random parts of the city.

My Experience

So, here’s how it went down. My friend and I came out of Shibuya and just happened to look in the right direction to find the White Teledisko standing there with its brightly colored logo.

I was amazed because I had heard of it and wanted to check them out.

I immediately stopped and told my friend we had to try it.

So we walked over and read the instructions.

I embedded an Instagram Reel I created. It’s a few seconds long, but you get the gist of it. Enjoy.

How Do You Use Teledisko?

As we figured it out, we first tapped the screen, and followed the on-screen instructions.

You have various options:

  • Dance,
  • dance plus pictures,
  • dance plus video,
  • and a combo of everything.

Each option is slightly more expensive but not by much.

We chose to “dance + picture” option and proceeded.

We then choose to dance to Toxic by Britney Spears. Added our 4 Euros. And it then prompted us to enter our email (optional) in case you want your images emailed to you as well. But they’re also printed out for you.

The door opened, and the sign now read, “Please enter.”

We went in, and the music started as soon as the door closed.

The strobe light began as I pressed the button. It cycled between disco ball, fog machine, strobe, and club lights.

It was a fun few minutes.

I tried to get it all on video, but not sure it came out as fun as it actually was.

Once you dance your buns off for a couple of minutes, you hear a camera shudder go off four times.

Then the experience comes to an end, and you exit the booth and grab your printed pictures from the slot. It’s a happy memory.

It’s novel, but I recommend it. It’s so cute.

Also, in case you’re claustrophobic, you can exit the booth at any time. It doesn’t lock from the inside. But it does lock from the outside so strangers cannot interrupt you.

Here’s a fun video I found made by Teledisko.

Let’s break it down:

Teledisko is a cute phonebooth-sized club with several locations scattered around Berlin.

It costs about four Euros + for one song and dance.

Depending on which one you’re trying to use, it can hold from two to four people max. They’re tiny.

It’s fun and novel.

Do I recommend it? Yes! If you manage to find one, do it. It’s a memorable experience.

Here’s their website just in case: https://www.teledisko.com/?lang=en
