9 Tasty Restaurants in Berlin You Can’t Miss!

Do you love food? And now you’re on a journey through Berlin, putting everything in your mouth? Well, stop right there. Although I’m not one to pass judgment when it comes to “that,” I want to pass on some not-to-be-missed restaurant information for your next Berlin trip.

Here are 9 tasty restaurants everyone needs to try in Berlin. So let’s pack up our utensils. We’re on a food mission.

1) Burger Vision

Burger vision Berlin must eat

Burger Vision is a fantastic hamburger place with juicy beef patties and fun combo names.

Get their onion rings instead of fresh fries (but both are equally tasty). They’re tasty little rings.

I tried many of their burgers and loved most of them. But, I liked the chili cheeseburger less than I thought I would. They added jalapenos, and even though I love them, I didn’t feel like they belonged with the other flavor combinations. But that’s just me.

Otherwise, the staff is friendly, the prices are great, and the burgers are scrumptious.

They have vegan options and even halal options.

They have a few locations in Berlin. But the one I tried is on Gotzkwskystrasse in Moabit (and for some reason, Google doesn’t have the Moabit address). Below is the address to another location.

2) Crack Buns

Crack Buns is not just another burger joint. It’s a slider joint—mini burgers, to be exact.

Their buns are sweet. Their flavors are expertly crafted. And their Mochi Mochi fries are to die for. Even if you don’t get their sliders, get their Mochi fries. They’re unlike anything I’ve tasted before. They’re simply not to be missed.

Out of the sliders I tried, I especially loved their Swiss and mushroom sliders. I also tried their chicken bites, but those were just okay. Go with the sliders and some Mochi fries.

Address: Prinzenstraße 85-D, 10969 Berlin, Germany

3) Wen Chengs

Wen Chengs is a noodle phenomenon. Their big thick noodles are handmade and sauteed in juicy sauces.

I got the beef noodles, and it was incredible.

It’s a simple dish, but if you love Asian noodles, it’s worth a try. There are two locations, but I tried the one at Schönhauser Allee 10.

Also, it seems all of Berlin love these noodles. They open at 5 pm. I got there at 5:50 pm and got their last table.

On my way out, there was an hour wait for a table. So get there early.

Address: Schönhauser Allee 10, 10119 Berlin, Germany

Second location address: Schönhauser Allee 65, 10119 Berlin, Germany

4) FRÃœHSTÃœCK 3000

Frushstuck means breakfast in German, so they’re more of a breakfast and brunch place. If you plan on going on Sunday, make a reservation, or you won’t get a table.

A Berlin stud told me about this place. Not only did the restaurant look hip, the food looked amazing. So one lonely weekday morning, I decided to try their incredible breakfast.

The day I arrived, I wanted to try three of their dishes, but the waiter insisted that it was too much food.

So I got their Chicken 3000 (Chicken and Waffle dish) and a pea dumpling/falafel plate whose name escapes me right now.

Both dishes were so good. The addition of caramelized bacon on that chicken made the difference, and I don’t like bacon, but somehow, this bacon tasted out-of-this-world.

I left stuffed and happy. Also, their staff is attractive and nice to look at. They always have beautiful smiles on their faces.

FRÃœHSTÃœCK 3000 is conveniently located across the street from Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn station in the gay neighborhood.

Of all items on this list, this one is the best.

Address: Bülowstraße 101 | 10783 Berlin

5) Shibuya

Once you’re done viewing the wonderful art at the East Side Gallery, head over to Shibuya.

This great Japanese restaurant is more than just fresh sushi and incredible flavor.

Their restaurant is decorated so cutely you’ll think you accidentally stepped into a teleporter to Japan.

It’s such a cute place and perfect for a pre or post-sightseeing meal.

Address: Mühlenstraße 15-19, 10243 Berlin, Germany

6) Ma’loa Hawaiian Poke Bowl

Ma’loa is great. It’s near AlexanderPlatz. So if you’re heading to some of my favorite spots like Haus Schwarzenberg, you can head here for lunch.

Their poke bowls are tasty, but the restaurant is tiny and somewhat confusing.

It’s set up like a Subway sandwich restaurant, but the line starts near the back of the restaurant. And since most people are huddled, sometimes it’s unclear where the line is.

You can make your own bowl or ask for one of their specialty-made bowls. That’s what I did.

Address: Oranienburger Str. 7, 10178 Berlin, Germany

Second location address: Oberwallstraße 9, 10117 Berlin, Germany

Third location address: Zimmerstraße 68, 10117 Berlin, Germany

They have a total of eight locations throughout Berlin.

Enjoy.

7) Bamboo-Sudanesische Spezialitäten

I walked by this place a million times before giving it a try. It’s basically a falafel sandwich place Sudanese style. So it might be a little different than what you’re used to. But that made the entire experience so much better.

They have veggie options, sandwiches, or dishes without pita bread.

Their combination of flavors in one bite made me want to go back over and over. And so I did.

If you happen to be in Moabit, check out this place. It’s tiny and very inexpensive but so worth it. They also have vegetarian options.

8) Back Factory

Back means “bake” in German. So it’s a baking factory with lots of tasty baked goods.

There was one in my neighborhood of Moabit, and I loved it. It’s a cafeteria-style buffet.

You grab your tray and pick the baked goods you want as you go down the line. I usually grabbed two items and a coffee. But I tried many things while I was in town.

The earlier you go, the better because they don’t refill things as they run out. Once they’re out, it’s gone for the day or until they make more a few days later.

I love to eat!

Address: Turmstraße 35A, 10551 Berlin, Germany

Second location address: Wilmersdorfer Str. 122, 10627 Berlin, Germany

Third location address: Friedrichstraße 207 208, 10969 Berlin, Germany

They’re a small chain and have many locations throughout Berlin.

9) Doner Kebab

Oh yes! Get in my mouth!

Doner Kebabs are a staple in Berlin. There’s a stand on nearly every corner. Usually, they’re pretty inexpensive (although prices are rising everywhere these days. I couldn’t find one for less than 5 Euros). I will most definitely try one if you’re in Berlin.

I love them so much that I eat them as often as possible when in town. This was one of my first blog posts. It’s short and sweet. Read more here.

Out of all the items on this list, this is the easiest to get a hold of and the second item not to be missed, even if you miss the rest.
