5 Wild Gay Festivals Around the World You Can’t Miss!

I’m bored. And that’s not a good thing for an artsy person like me. What is that saying, “Idle hands are the devils…something or other?” It’s true in my case, and instead of going a little stir-crazy, it’s time to check out some wild gay festivals around the world at some point in the future.

Wild, naked, bear, sexy, gay, clothing-optional fun? So here are some gay festivals in Europe and across the globe that you and I might want to go to.

1) Bear Week, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco Mexico (One of Many Gay Festivals in PV)

Gay festivals in Puerto Vallarta
Me and one of the dancers at Bearadise Beach Party during Bear Week on of many gay festivals in PV.

This is one of many of the gay festivals in Puerto Vallarta. And I’ve been to Bear Weak before, and it’s absolutely wild. You basically have a couple of gay organizations throwing an array of parties at local bars and clubs. You have clothing-optional pool parties, meet and greets, dinners, and so much more.

Every year is a little different, but it’s always a ton of fun.

When I went, there were three parties happening every day; some were naked pool parties, others were in clubs, and some were in secluded beaches where you could take it off and get it on.

If you want a longer list of gay festivals in Puerto Vallarta to check out, read this blog post here.

2) Southern Decadence, New Orleans Louisiana

Back when I was travel vlogging regularly, I booked a ticket to New Orleans, and it happened to be during Southern Decadence. And woah, I was impressed.

I was very surprised (in a good way) with the amount of gay bars that allowed you to get it on with the freedom of many European cities. Not to mention, the city itself is beautiful, historic, and stunning.

Because I didn’t know it was Southern Decadence, I left before things got super wild and the street festivities began. But I had so much fun during those days leading up to it.

I highly recommend going. In fact, I’m writing this list for you guys as much as me. Because yes, I want to go back and party in Nola.

The video above doesn’t contain any gay images or descriptions. I made this video before I created my blog and decided to write about gay venues. But it’s a fun lil travel vlog of the time I went.

3) Folsom Europe, Berlin Germany

If you’ve read my blog, you know that I go to Berlin often. Berlin has many gay venues that are crazy wild. But Folsom Europe is one that I haven’t been to yet. And this is one gay festival I need to experience.

Folsom Europe happens in Berlin every year, and they throw signature parties that are fetish or clothing optional. Not to mention, they have a giant street party where everyone is welcome, just like the original Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco.

Folsom Europe, in Berlin-Gay festivals around the world, you need to try

4) Sleazy Madrid, Madrid, Spain

Sleazy Madrid happens a couple of times a year, and every city can learn from Madrid and how they organize wild gay parties like these. Many of their festivities include darkrooms, clothing-optional spaces, fetish wear nights, and more.

I’ve been to many of the gay Madrid venues, and they are so much fun on a regular night. I can only imagine how wild and crazy it gets during Sleazy Madrid. Read some of my detailed reports on how things go down inside some of their wildest venues.

Sleazy Madrid seems like a fun week to party it up with hot, hairy men who just want to take it off at every party.

5) Darklands, Antwerp, Belguim

Darklands is a yearly gay festival in Belgium, and it’s a romp fest. They have parties for all sexualities and genders under the queer umbrella, but they also have men-only (and those who identify as men) parties you can choose from. I’ve heard some wild stories from this festival, and I would love to give it a try in the future.

I haven’t been to Belgium yet, but this festival is making me want to go as soon as I get a chance.

That’s my current list, but I’m sure it will grow. For now, let’s shake things up a bit. And… Maybe we should start planning! ðŸ˜ˆ
