From London to Madrid on British Air on Airbus A320

I made it, guys. I flew from Los Angeles International Airport to London Heathrow. It was a ten-hour long flight. But I had a six-hour layover in London. After that, I had a smaller two-and-a-half-hour flight from London Heathrow to Madrid’s Airport (MAD).

The flight from LA to London was long. It was overnight. It was packed, and I swear the seats got smaller. I am not a big person, and I felt cramped, like I couldn’t even move my arms or I would disturb the person next to me.

This first flight was on American Airlines, and the food was just okay. It wasn’t spectacular, but at least they fed us.

Breakfast was literally a yogurt and a cookie.

I have several LA to London flight reports and even LAX to MAD flight reviews, but not LHR to MAD (they’re old, so please excuse the lack of blog knowledge and even writing skills).

So, Let’s skip to the London to Madrid report because that one was short but good.

London to Madrid on British Airlines

The leg space felt better on this flight than on my last leg (LAX to LHR).

I was seated in coach.

It was 2.5 hours to Madrid.

I was exhausted. I felt smelly. But it was a short flight, and I was excited to get to Madrid.

A tired and smelly selfie!

This flight was once again full but seemed less so than the previous flight, making things feel better.

I slept on and off for the duration of the flight. However, I managed to wake up during their snack time.

Many airlines do this when it’s a short flight. They just give you a snack instead of a meal. But I wish they gave you more to eat. Like, give me something more substantial. A cookie is not going to cut it.

It’s a cake thing.

Although it wasn’t a cookie, it was a bite-sized cake thing. At least it was tasty.

As a beverage, we all got a bottle of water.

Water

And if you weren’t happy with that, they had food for purchase. I saw many people buy food.

What drives me nuts is that it seems the days of having $30 flights with a meal included are never coming back.

Prices for everything are going up and up for the minimum amount of, well, anything.

Once we landed, everybody was too tired to fight through the aisle to get out of the plane first. What A relief!

At least this plane seemed to have bigger seats. I have really wide shoulders, and I feel like American Airlines has decreased the width of their seats. I guess I should do a little research on that.

I made it to Madrid

After getting off the flight and going through the motions, I was excited about exploring the city of Madrid. But first, I needed to find my Airbnb.

Overall, I have to say this small flight was pretty decent. The flight attendants were good. And I got a little bit of shut-eye.

I have a lot of post-covid anxiety these days. But this flight didn’t cause any anxiety, which was pretty good. Or maybe I was too tired to be anxious about anything.
