9 Newer Restaurants in Puerto Vallarta You Must Try Today

Puerto Vallarta is known for its fresh ingredients and fantastic flavors. It’s a foodie’s dream come true.

The diversity of the restaurants you’ll find is astonishing. But with so many to choose from, it’s no wonder many people have a hard time choosing where to eat.

So, here are nine newer restaurants that everyone must check out. I’ve been to most of these, but to be honest, some of these just opened, and I haven’t had a chance to try them.

In any case, here are 9 newer fantastic restaurants in Puerto Vallarta that everyone must try today.

1) Let’s Pho

Pho from Let's Pho in Puerto Vallarta

Let’s Pho specializes in Vietnamese cuisine, and yes, they have bowls of pho.

I’ve been here several times, and their pho is the best in town so far.

Check them out. They’re located at:

Lázaro Cárdenas 179, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

2) XocoDiva Artisan Chocolate and Cafe

Croissant sandwich from Xocodiva cafe in puerto vallarta

XocoDiva Artisan Chocolate and Cafe is owned by Xocodiva. This cute cafe also doubles as a clothing store. It has cute, boutiquey-type stuff.

They have a wide variety of coffee beverages, sandwiches, lunch options, and many pastries.

This location used to be their chocolate production factory. Now that they’ve gained notoriety, they’ve turned it into a cafe.

It’s also easy and inexpensive. Give them a try.

Theyre located at: Emiliano Zapata, Aquiles Serdan 369, Puerto Vallarta

3) Marlow’s

Marlow’s is a collaboration between XocoDiva and a world-famous chef.

The restaurant is cute. The food is fantastic. But the prices are a little high.

It’s located next door to Studs Bear Bar.

Location: Basilio Badillo 277, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

4) Rico Indian

Rico Indian is the latest Indian restaurant to open in PV. They’re pretty far back on Isla Cuala, located on an open-air deck next to the river.

The food is fantastic at a great price.

It seems they source everything locally because sometimes you can taste the Mexican spices in the food. Regardless, it’s worth a try.

It’s becoming popular, though. Check it out soon before you can’t get in.

Location: Aquiles Serdan 437, Isla Rio Cuale 31, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

5) La Ruta

Molcajete mexclado from La Ruta restaurant in puerto vallarta
One of my favorite new restaurants in Puerto Vallarta

I LOVE La Ruta. It’s heavy on the seafood, but they have way more options to choose from.

I often get their Molcajete Mexclado. It has beef, chicken, and shrimp with some grilled veggies and cacti. It’s amazing.

I had their salad once, and the flavors are incredible. I firmly believe this place is magical.

Location: Basilio Badillo 400A, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

6) Ono Smoothy Bowl

Ono Smoothy a breakfast restaurant in PV
It’s true, they’re slow.

Ono is more of a breakfast type of place. They have smoothies and breakfast foods.

They’re a slow-moving kitchen, though. Be forewarned. I once ordered their burrito, and it took them about 30 minutes to make it.

All ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. It’s worth a try. Because they also have vegan food, you’ll see a plethora of hipsters lining up to order.

However, if I’m being honest, this place has been around for a while, but I like it. I think it’s worth trying.

Location: Ignacio L Vallarta 228, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

7) Que Bola Puerto Vallarta

This restaurant just opened. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet. But it’s Cuban food right in the center of la Zona Romantica. It makes it convenient.

It’s also located at the former bathhouse Papi Chulo. And my sources tell me that it still looks like a bathhouse inside, except with restaurant decor.

Im dying to see it.

Location: Pilitas 156, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

8) White Rabbit Cafe

I love cafes. And there are so many in PV it’s hard to keep up. This one is pretty new. It is owned by a gay Russian guy who came to PV on vacation and didn’t return home because of the war.

Although I have yet to try it, I want to taste how hard his coffee is. I mean, how dark his coffee is!

Location: Lázaro Cárdenas 381a, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

9) NOROC

Cute drink at NOROC in PV

NOROC is a fun date-night type of restaurant. The food is great. The view is beautiful.

It’s located right on the beach, with the pier in view.

To top it off, your table is made to feel like it’s an isolated island. The restaurant was designed to look like a giant pool with dining alcoves. I think it’s cute.

Sometimes they have awesome singers too.

Location: Basilio Badillo 101, Zona Romántica, Colonia Emiliano, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico
