Social Distancing with London Boat Rentals in the LBC

We’re approaching June, and coronavirus is still here. Things are better, but not great. The country is opening a lot of venues, restaurants, bars, beaches, and parks. I love it. It gives me hope that things are improving. But it makes me wonder if we should partake in these activities. But let’s say you do want to go out, but don’t know which actives are safe, and which activities allow for proper social distancing? This holiday weekend, I looked at Long Beach through the eyes of a tourist and decided London Boat Rentals is the perfect activity for someone on the fence about mingling with others.

London Boat Rental’s cute Duffy boats

London Boat Rentals is a small Duffy boat rental company where you pay by the hour.

Duffy boats range from 16 feet to 21 feet. So if you have more than one person in your boat, you can properly distance yourself from each other.

The View on the Water is Worth It

I’m not a boat person or an ocean person. It freaks me out. But being on the water was fun, different, and beautiful. The views of the houses in the marina are gorgeous. You can sit and watch people having fun on the beach. These vantage points make for a very memorable activity.

Thanks to London Boat Rentals for this great view of Naples Island

London Boat Rentals is Perfect for Isolation

As I stood in line at London Boat Rentals, I noticed a couple of parties also waiting for their Duffy boats. Every party was distant enough to feel like you are the only one renting, which is excellent.

The rental company took great measures to make everyone feel secure. Their employees wore masks and gloves. I felt safe and socially distant.

Once I was on the boat, and in the harbor, you realize you’re the only boat around for at least 30 feet in every direction. Smaller areas get slightly cramped. Nevertheless, you’re always more than 6 feet from other boats.

Other boats always kept their distance

I never thought renting a boat would make me feel far from civilization. It’s the perfect activity for anyone trying to head out and take precautionary measures during these coronavirus times.

London Boat Rentals will be around even after coronavirus is gone, so if you’re in town for a long weekend and need something fun and unique to do, consider renting a boat in Long Beach.

I highly recommend London Boat Rentals.
