So… You’re in Long Beach California. You’re queer, and we should get used to it? In that case, go have a gay ol’ time! Long Beach has several gay bars to choose from and they all offer something different. Although, Eagle562 is our most recent gay bar, it’s already making a name for itself.
Eagle562 is now in the same space as Pistons. Pistons used to be Long Beach’s leather daddy bar but after a couple of decades the place shut its doors and Eagle562 opened up.
Eagle562 is not affiliated with the Eagle gay bars across the country. It’s not a new franchise. It’s a stand alone, one of a kind, type-of-place. It’s genius how making connections with a bigger, more exiting company will make people think they’re connected in some way. Let me tell you, it works!
I’m a skeptical person but every time I’ve gone to Eagle562 it’s busy. I would’ve told you it’s all hype but about a year later people are flocking from all over LA to check it out. People love this place. I love this place. It’s good to see a new bar doing well. Especially, a place like this.
An Eagle562 Review
Sundays are Eagle562’s beer bust. The place gets busy and everyone gets lush with inexpensive beer. I also heard this is their best night. I decide to make my way to their Sunday beer busts for a taste.
A good friend of mine is supposed to meet me here. Upon arriving I get a cancellation text. Now, I’m here. Alone. Feeling a little lame. No need to worry though. I’m on the clock. So I make my rounds and start meeting people. Some people I know from around town. Others are making this place their go-to bar. Everyone is very friendly and just looking for a good time.
The men are plentiful and people are ready to exchange numbers for later hook-ups.
Even though I’m here by myself all the men are very friendly, and touchy if you catch my drift. A hello and simple ‘nice to meet you’ turns into a hug and maybe some heavy petting. It’s alluring and it keeps you here.
My plan is to observe and report.  However, now that I’m making friends, I might as well stay a little longer.
As the night progresses and the men consume more beverages the heavy petting becomes a little friendlier and people are willing to put on “shows.” Something that’s always welcome in my book. Although, I have to say, you might have to know where to look or you’ll miss it.
The bartenders are fun and friendly. The go-go dancers are cuties and put on great shows. Each time I’ve gone to Eagle562 I’ve left with a darn good smirk on my face. It’s a gay ol’ time for sure!
Underwear Beer Bust
Their Underwear Beer Bust is every third Sunday. Considering their regular beer bust is popular and steamy, I was curious about this night. No need to beat around the bush, your pants are already off! What kind of trouble can you find on this night? Lets find out!
I go on underwear night. Yes, in festive attire. The place is busy. Shoulder to shoulder. The guys are welcoming and ready to mingle. This time around, my friend didn’t flake and we both had a great time.
I met Long Beach virgins and regulars alike. I saw old LA friends and welcomed new ones. Men in every type of underwear flaunt what mother nature gave them without shame. A few guys even flashed me their enormous je ne sais quoi. I love it! It’s a glorious spectacle. I spoke to a few tourists who loved Eagle562. They said it made their vacation!
The beer flows like water and the patrons were happier than ever, gathering in groups and welcoming others. There is no pretension. People are warm, welcoming and eager to show off their beautiful bodies… and more! 😉
As the night wrapped up, many people exchanged numbers and some left with each other. The Eagle562 on underwear night, is the place to be but leave the pretension at the door!

As successful as the bar is, they’re adding more events which attract a good crowd. Recently, they’ve added S&M workshops for voyeurs and participants alike.
Each night is a different theme for your enjoyment. Mondays (Mondays include Karaoke) and Tuesday are free pool night. Thursday night is Ru Pauls Drag race night. Sundays = beer bust.
The crowd here is bear, leather and older types but that doesn’t mean there isn’t something for everyone. Considering, people all over LA are trying to see this venue, the crowd is mixed. Although, I do see many regulars as well.
