Japadog Review, Vancouver, BC | For the Adventurous Eater

As a tradition, I always look for something unique to eat when I’m abroad. I want to experience something I can only find at that location. This time around, it was Japadog. If you’re an adventures eater like me, this might be the place for you. The rest of you might think it’s disgusting. Japadog is a Japanese hot dog fusion restaurant. They specialize in hot dogs. Although they’re opening Japadogs all over the place now. I first tried it in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The interesting thing is they have loads of varieties. You can find some great Asian fusion hot dogs. These hot dogs are not your mom’s hotdogs, that’s for sure.

Unlike other locations it’s not a street cart. It’s an actual restaurant. You order up front, pay and wait for your order.

Japadog in Vancouver is located on 530 Robson street. They also have a street cart nearby. However, I think the street cart is newer.

I went looking for a unique culinary experience and that’s what I got. I got two dogs to try. One with bonito flakes… lots and lots of them. The other with noodles on top.

The pictures do not make a justice. They look somewhat gross but it’s actually pretty tasty.

The Yakisoba is the one with noodles and arabiki sausage. The other one is The Okonomi. I was so full after these two. Otherwise I would have tried everything on this menu. I don’t remember the prices but if I remember correctly, it’s cheap enough to get on your budget food list when you’re traveling to Vancouver.

Let Me Break It Down For You:
