Shonefeld Airport is located at Flughafen Schönefeld, 12521 in Berlin, Germany and although I was apprehensive at first, considering I’m completely “directionally challenged,” it was pretty easy to get to.
There are multiple ways of getting there and multiple trains that lead to the same area of Berlin.
Let me tell you how I got to Shönefeld. (I should remind you that there are two airports in Berlin, Shönefeld and Tegel).
To start, I had to buy a three zone ticket considering Shönefeld is in Zone C. I believe it was 3.40 Euros. I then boarded the U1 (green line) towards Warschauer Str and transferred to the U7 line (the lighter blue line) and took that all the way to the end.
I got off at Rudow and used that same ticket to board the X7 bus, which took 5 minutes to reach the airport. Its pretty simple.
I’ll include the map of the metro rail so you can use. Hope this helps.
