Element Omaha Midtown Crossing Suites Are Amazing!

Landing in a comfortable place is important, especially if you don’t know the city well… or at all. We searched for hotels in the city. The good thing is Omaha has a lot of hotels in the area. However, since this trip is to visit my little brother we wanted to stay near him. But, we didn’t know where he lived in town. We knew it was University housing and that was it. So we just winged it and booked a room at the Element Omaha Midtown Crossing by Marriott. I should clarify, when I say a room, I really mean a suite. It was nice… and not that expensive!

The hotel is in Midtown which we found centrally located to all things Omaha. Actually, Omaha is pretty small. It’s compact. Although you need a car to get around, Omaha can be a walking city if you really want it to be.

Midtown, for example is quaint, cute and has a lot of character. The interesting thing is, it looks like many buildings are somewhat new. The Element Omaha Midtown Crossing is inside a bigger complex with condos, restaurants, a park and even a supermarket. The supermarket is the best part. It’s actually connected to the building. There’s no need to walk outside. You can get to the market from inside the hotel. That’s smart urban design in my eyes.

The Element Omaha Midtown Crossing

The Element Omaha Midtown Crossing is pretty nice. Although, in the scheme of things, it’s pretty basic. The lobby is big, modern and grand. They have a snack bar behind the register and a business center beyond that. On the opposite side of the lobby they have the breakfast area which is included with your room.

Breakfast was decent. I had plenty of juices to choose from. I was even able to make my own cranberry orange concoction —you know to keep it weird as usual.

They have bagels, english muffins, eggs and sausages. There’s also cereals, coffee and tee’s. It’s more than just a continental breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Room

The room itself turned out perfect. Since I was infected with influenza on this trip, my flu-infected brain needed to rest a whole lot. Having a suite proved essential for this. This meant my partner can go out to the living room if he doesn’t want to deal with sick ol’ me.

The room had a king size bed and a TV that only worked with a remote control. The remote control was nowhere to be found. The curtains were a little complicated but once we realized they were actually stuck it all worked out. We closed them for ultimate darkness and didn’t move them the entire time.

The kitchen

The living spaces were cute! There’s a large L-shaped couch in front of the living room TV with a fully functioning remote control. The suite even had a full-on kitchen! I loved it. I could cook if I wanted to. There was a large fridge. We had dishes and utensils. We even had a desk space overlooking the city.

The restroom was very nice and appropriate for this suite. It was large and modern. Although, it only had one vanity. You know me, I hate sharing vanities… ugh… Just kidding… Sharing is caring yo!

If you’re looking for a tub to soak in you’re out of luck. The restroom had a shower. With all things considered, the Element Omaha Midtown Crossing is cute and more than I expected for our Omaha stay.

Let Me Break It Down For You:

For approx. $130 per night, you can get a nice suite

The Element Omaha Midtown Crossing has a snack bar, free breakfast, business center and access to the supermarket from within the hotel.

You’re also walking distance to many restaurants and stores.

Although, the suite did not have a tub, it has everything else you might be looking for. There’s a big living room and a full kitchen. A giant fridge and a desk space. The room has a pocket door to separate yourself from the world. What more does a recluse like myself need?

Do I recommend it? Yes. It’s cute and it costs the same as a regular hotel in a place like LA. This is bang for your buck if you’re looking for a cheap suite. Way to go Element Omaha Midtown Crossing.
