British Air from LHR to Nice in Club Europe

Our second flight to our final destination is from London Heathrow to Nice. However, it’s running late. At this point, we’re waiting for our flight to start boarding. It’s now 15 minutes late, but we board quickly after that.

Since we’re seated in their equivalent to business class (called Club Europe), we and several others board first.

This British Air a320 is smaller than our previous plane, but it has about 20 rows of business class seats.

Although I’m saying business class, the seats are actually regular seats. The main difference is that they block the middle seat, so no one sits in between you. Consequently, you have plenty of elbow room. However, the leg space is the same as it is in economy. So if you’re a tall person, you might have trouble sitting.

But, as someone with broad shoulders, it’s nice to have the middle seat blocked. My shoulders often rub against the person next to me, and I feel uncomfortable because I try to lean away from them to avoid any physical contact. So, in this case, it works.

The Service

The service is fantastic. The flight attendees do a great job of attending to everyone’s needs. They’re all very professional and quick. Considering this flight was just over two hours, the attendants balanced good service without making anyone feel rushed.

I skipped the meal because I overate on my flight to London Heathrow. So, unfortunately, I can’t provide any information on the food for this flight.

The Flight

This British Air flight was too quick. But in a good way. I was tired and ready to fight my jet lag before it beat me into submission.

I might have snoozed for about 20 minutes before they announced our descent. Unfortunately, I sat near the windows without a view, but I got to see the beautiful oceans. If I peeked through the opposite windows, I could see the beautiful Nice skyline.

Even though this flight was fast, I’m glad to be on the ground again.

I’m tired. My baggy eyes are getting baggier!

Let’s break it down:

I’m not sure Club Europe seats are worth it. If you have small baggage, I would say just buy an economy ticket and save some money. But if you don’t, boarding first has the advantage of getting the first pick of the overhead compartments.

In our case, this was part of the voucher from our previously canceled trip. I’m not complaining though, I’m just trying to lay out all the information for anyone reading this.
