Cheap Food in Paris France for the Budget Traveler

Paris is such an expensive city. Last time I was in town, my family and I had lunch at a cute place called Kong. It’s an Asian fusion restaurant on the top floor of a building with a great view on clear days. I had an appetizer, a burger, and a drink, and so did everyone else. The total bill for the four of us was 400 Euros! It’s so expensive, and that’s not a price we want to pay every time we eat. So, I made a list of cheap food in Paris for budget travelers like myself.

Here are a few tasty and inexpensive places to places on your list:

Bistrot Mee

This restaurant is a cozy Korean spot with affordable options like dumplings and bibimbap, perfect for a satisfying meal on a budget. Howevver, I should mention that this is the most expensive on this list. Even though this one is pretty cheap, maybe it’s not the best cheap food in Paris.

Sur le Pouce

Typical French food around 10 Euros per dish. How’s that for cheap food in Paris?

Miam Miam Cool

This small Sichuan restaurant serves spicy noodle soups and dumplings, all for under €13. And I can eat dumplings everyday. So this is an incredible find.

Mama Kossa

Located in Barbès, this vibrant eatery blends Afro-inspired cuisines with dishes like Djalon rice topped with chicken for just €9.90. But many of their dishes are 15 to 20 Euros. Yummy, cheap food in Paris never sounded so good.

Ave Pizza Romana

Known for its Roman-style pizza, you can grab a slice for as little as €6 at lunchtime. It’s not .99 cent NYC pizza but at least this cheap food in Paris is under $10.

Man’Ouché

Here, you’ll find Lebanese flatbreads and wraps that are perfect for a quick and cheap bite.

Jixiao’s Buns

This Chinese restaurant offers handmade dumplings and flavorful soups for under €10.

Bouillon Julien

This classic Parisian bistro offers traditional French dishes at prices as low as €10 for main courses. I want to say you’ll find inexpensive bistros all over Paris, but sometimes, I have to see them to believe them.

TOTO

This small Italian joint serves affordable pizza and pasta, with lunchtime deals around €8.

Kodawari Ramen

A popular ramen spot in the Latin Quarter, featuring delicious bowls of ramen at reasonable prices, even though it has earned a spot in the Michelin Guide.

Ground Control

Ground Control is more of a food court. It’s a former bus terminal warehouse turned into a food hall with many vendors, incredible travel-oriented decor, and highly affordable choices. Even though this one is at the end of my list, it’s my top choice. Let’s go check out all the cheap food in Paris located within this incredible venue.

And that’s my list of cheap food in Paris. Keep these on your list and save some money with these tasty yet affordable places. I’m sure there are more places but at least we are prepared for our trip. Pair this list with these awesome bars in Paris and you’re set.
