Cathay Pacific A330| Dubai to Hong Kong| Business Class

Cathay Pacific is known as one of the great airlines. I’ve only flown them once before and I enjoyed it. This time around, I would be in business class from Dubai to Hong Kong.

Flying in business class is always a great treat. The pods are amazing because they have everything you need. You have a flat screen TV. You have several pockets and places to put your items. They also give you Boss headset that cancel all outside noise.

We got a great amenity kit. The kit contained the usual. A pair of socks, a toothbrush and other dental hygiene essentials like mouth wash and lip balm. It also had a pen, earplugs and a sleeping mask if you wanted to sleep on the plane. They’re great little kits to keep as souvenirs. They also come in handy if you’re always traveling. You can reuse the kit for other toiletries as well.

The coolest thing about the pods or pods in general is the seats turn into beds. They are also private enough to make you feel isolated from the rest of the people on board, even if you’re traveling with someone.

Since this was pretty much an overnight flight. I slept most of the way. I don’t remember much of it since I was unconscious.

The Food

The food was okay to say the least. It’s not that it wasn’t good. It’s that it was very petite. I got a shrimp dish. It had about 5 shrimps and a mango chutney. It also came with a salad. Needless to say this dish didn’t fill me up.

The interesting thing about this flight is that it was an overnight flight. We landed in Hong Kong at 5am. By the time we got to our hotel it was about 6:30am or so.

Hong Kong was desolate. I have never seen Hong Kong like this. For a city that never sleeps, it is very interesting to see this part of it.

Considering this was my partners birthday trip… we did everything his way. This meant, unlike me, he wanted everything luxury oriented. Therefore, we landed at the Ritz Carlton in Kowloon.
