If you’ve kept up with my blog then you probably read about the last time I flew out of LaGuardia airport which was a disaster. If not, let me catch you up… Quickly… I pretty much got screwed when they asked for volunteers to de-board the plane in exchange for $1200 vouchers towards any American Air flight. To make a long story short. They screwed it up and didn’t want to give it to me. Eventually, after a complicated back and forth (and help by an awesome influencer) I got it. In other words, that paid for this trip. I took my mother, me and my little brother to New York City as a ‘good-bye’ present. My little brother is finally moving away to college. On we went from LAX to NYC in an American Airlines A321t. Direct. To JFK.
The tickets were $300 round trip which is pretty standard. Any cheaper would be a great deal. However, usually three hundred is the cheapest.
I bought three coach fares. However, as a treat my partner upgraded my mother to business class with points. Therefore the matriarch got luxury, while me and my brother got great seats in the exit row.
These seats are excellent. They have unlimited leg space. You can stretch them out, completely. The seats seemed wide enough. Although it probably helped that my little brother was sitting next to me. This meant I was able to lean over a little. If I accidentally fell asleep on him, it wouldn’t matter. He’s not a stranger I don’t know.
The only weird thing about the seat is your TV. It’s tucked away below your seat. If you don’t know this, like the guy next to me, you might think you have to buy an internet wi-fi plan to view movies. Don’t do that. The LAX to NYC American Airlines A321t has free movies. DO NOT BUY IT.
American Airlines A321t Review
The flight was smooth and the guy next to me (not my little brother) the guy on the other side, was very low maintenance.
We got our choice of snack about forty-five minutes in the air, which was nice. However, the food option was not a choice. Everyone got the same thing, in either veggie or chicken. It was a chicken wrap in the cutest little box. It came with a chocolate, bread, some fruit and another snack. The beverage came separately. I got a soda and so did my brother.
The box was surprisingly filling. I’m glad they served this. Just so you know, a passenger near me wanted a kosher option and they politely told him there was none. Luckily for him his family brought their own kosher food in their bags. If you need special food arrangements, other than vegetarian, you might consider buying a business class seat.
After our meal. I sat in comfort next to my little brother on this American Airlines A321t and watched Pitch Perfect 3 and Thor: The Dark World. We landed shortly after that.
Luckily my partner called a car service to pick us all up. From here we were escorted to our hotel, The Millennium Hilton New York Hotel UN Plaza.
Let Me Break It Down For You:
A ticket from LAX to NYC (JFK Airport) is usually about $300 at its cheapest. That was my price for these tickets.
This American Airlines A321t has a fully functional business class but I got a coach seat in the exit row which has unlimited leg room. It’s by far the best seat, right after the business class divider.
They offer a snack and a box with food in it. The food option was a Chicken or Cesar Salad wrap.
The exit row has a TV tucked underneath the seat.
Don’t buy the wi-fi to watch the movies. The movies are free.
