TNG (Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport): Review

We got on a flight from Madrid Airport to Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport in Tangier. The flight is quick. Nevertheless, here is a quick and easy review of TNG (Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport.)

Immigrating at Tangier Airport

We landed in Tangier around 3 pm Morocco time.

Our plane was the only one on the runway. They connect a set of stairs, the way you see movie stars and presidential people do it on TV. We head towards the airport doors.

We entered Customs and Border Protection services and even though there were only about 50 people on the plane. It took about 5 minutes per person to get through customs… there were 4 people in front of me. It took about 20 minutes. I’m not a patient person. I don’t like lines.

After exiting Customs and Border Protection

The airport is tiny!

The entire TGN airport

Restrooms at TGN Airport

No wonder our plane was the only one. After Customs and Immigration, I looked for the restroom. There is one to the right, but it seemed everyone was headed to that one.

There is also another restroom at the furthest end of the airport. It took me about 5 minutes to walk the entire length of the airport. That’s how small this airport is.

The airport has one food stand with several tables for you to choose from. You can order things like sandwiches, sodas, water, cappuccinos, candy bars, etc. However, they seemed to be out of everything.

The airports only food stand

Nothing is too pricey in Tangier but this airport had inflated, airport prices, which made it seem almost too expensive by Tangier standards.

Past security and customs/immigration there is a Duty free shop

Most things seemed closed and there only seemed to be one terminal gate.

I walked outside and took a white taxi cab to my Hotel room, El Minza Hotel.

Another angle of the airport…
