A Few Updates For You! My upcoming trip to Cancun.

Today is Friday, May 19th, and I wanted to let you guys know that I will continue to blog about Tangier throughout the week and weekend. However, this Monday, the 21st, I will be off to Cancun! So expect my blogs to be a mix of Cancun, real-time update blogs, and reviews followed by some Tangier, catch-up blogs and reviews. But I want you guys to know that I will be headed to Cancun Monday, May 21st. Expect a review of the airline as well as how-tos and such. Actually, I land at Cancun airport (CUN), and I have to make my way to Isla Mujeres, where I will be spending the next few days.

For those that always want to know how I can afford all of this travel, let me break a few things down for you.

I search a lot. It’s almost like a hobby of mine. Travel is a hobby. Just like shopping is something you love. Or perhaps you love buying shoes, or bar hopping with friends, or going out to dinner three times a week because it brings you joy… Traveling brings me joy. Therefore, I do a lot of research. Also, I pretend to buy a lot of tickets just to see how much it will really cost. I look up costs for weekdays versus weekends. Months versus weeks. I can give you advice on which days you should buy tickets from all this research… they raise prices on certain days and lower them on others. That seems to be the pattern throughout the week, all year round.

For this trip to Cancun, I bought a one-way ticket from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to CUN. It happened to be cheaper. I paid $127 (total) for this one-way fare. I thought to myself, that’s cheap enough, and ill figure out the rest as I go along.

I’m flying Interjet, an airline I’ve never flown before. It will be a new experience that I am looking forward to! =)

There are a few things I gotta do before actually leaving.

This is my TO-DO list:

  • Check in to my flight
  • Print my boarding pass
  • Pack
  • figure out how the hell I’m gonna get to that island from the airport.
